This video comes from an attendee at our Carñata studio party in the Meatpacking District, linked to the premiere of the second “iheart public” mural, located outside the studio on Washington St. Brenda Buck and I built this meat pinata from scratch, dubbed it the Carñata thanks to Eric’s fine suggestion…the video shows the rest, thanks to all who came and to Eric for this time lapse:

Shepard Fairey has released a PDF version of his Barack Obama “Progress” poster, available for download off the Obey Giant website. Releasing it as a vector PDF graphic is very helpful; keep it B&W or color as you like in Illustrator, print a perfect copy, and distribute.

Barack Obama on New York Times Front Page

Published on the top fold of the NY Times May 10, this photo impacts on many levels, a symbol of this time and the potential for change in the direction of American history. It is spread across the faces of the children more than Obama’s handsome yet political visage. One thing to note is the style of the handshake, with the hand and thumbs pointed up rather than down: hip-hop.
