I took all these photos from my iPhone in the last few weeks, ie from Cali and bit from NYC. though the olafur image is just a shot of one of his projects in the Doug Aitken book I was reading. the blog is set up for blogging and photo posting via iPhone.
note that this Asymptote project on left is by headed by Hani Rashid, Karim Rashid’s brother. if it’s anything like the Alessi store in Soho, visitors can look forward to awkward plastic forms and blindness from the sharp and annoying light everywhere. yes! the hammer…it’s so weird Joe’s Coffee people were at Alessi - I remember their employees looking tortured from the whole affair.

I do like the window structures on their own 
I am not sure how the whole structure will look next to the cobblestone street and spanking “new” historical street lamp the city hooked up.
insane architecture….. it seems so void of emotions though…. but really cool…. 166 perry street…. gotta check that out when it’s done….
